Dr. Ramneek Mangat
Optometrist
Dr. Mangat was born and raised in the greater Chicago area. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and minor in Spanish from DePaul University, where she graduated magna cum laude. She went on to receive her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2016, graduating with clinical honors.
She began her career working in rural Georgia, where she treated and managed a variety of ocular conditions. She later returned to Illinois, serving as an attending doctor and mentoring fourth-year optometry students during their clinical rotations. Most recently, she spent three years in a private practice in Silicon Valley, utilizing advanced technology to provide comprehensive, patient-centered eye care.
Dr. Mangat offers full-scope primary eye care, with special interests in ocular disease, dry eye and myopia management. A strong advocate for preventive care, she is dedicated to helping patients develop healthy habits that support long-term vision and eye health. She looks forward to supporting her patients through education, empathy, and evidence-based care.
In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, exploring new restaurants and traveling with her husband and young son. After living in several parts of the country, she is especially grateful to now call the Bay Area home as they put down roots and raise their family.
